Welcome to Journal of Acute Disease
Journal of Acute Disease (JAD) is an international journal on emergency medicine. Founed in 2012 (bimonthly , ISSN 2221-6189, CODEN JADOCO), JAD is published and distributed by the famous international publishing group Elsevier, through which the journal could be open accessed globally. JAD is sponsored by the emergency medicine branch of Chinese Medical Association, in collaboration with the Hainan Medical University, and aims at providing a platform for the specialists and educators in the field of acute disease to publishing papers, spreading academic achievements and communicating academic ideas. Since established, the journal has been included by several famous international indexes, including Index of Copurnicus (IC), Chemical Abstracts (CA), Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), Centre Agriculture Bioscience International (CABI), Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (UPD) and Embase (EM). 
JAD mainly focuses on acute disease and related clinical diagnosis and treatment progress and  research achievements, including basic and clinical researches on pre-hospital care, all kinds of disasters and accidents, emergency medical rescue for acute diseases and accident injuries, hospital emergency and critical care medicine, etc; hands-on articles on emergency first aid, triage, medical aid, site disposal, patients convoy and transfer, emergency protection; research reports, reviews, seminars and short communications in the field of first aids and emergency, etc. 
JAD recently publishes articles on craniocerebral trauma, renal contusion and laceration, ureteral laceration, pelvic and abdominal injury, hepatic, splenic and gallbladder contusion and laceration, acute pancreatic injury, all kinds of fractures including sternum, ribs, pelvis, long bones and skulls, etc.
